Teeth Whitening Side Effects - Don't Be A Victim Of Tooth Bleaching!
One of the best cosmetic enhancements I have seen in a long time has to be teeth whitening. The great thing about it is that it doesn't involve any surgical incisions or even extremely large amounts of money. As a matter of fact, teeth whitening is pretty much affordable to everybody these days. Some of you will have to save up for it for a few weeks, but overall it's a relatively cheap cosmetic enhancement. People with whiter teeth have more self confidence and they are less reluctant to smile and reveal their teeth. Scientific studies have confirmed this multiple times over in the past few years.
The Side Effects From Teeth Whitening
Ofcourse, all the manufacturers of teeth whitening products and services would have you believe that the treatment is completely harmless and that it can't possibly go wrong. Is this really true? Ofcourse not, that would simply be too good to be true. The fact of that matter is that there are many problems with teeth whitening that you never get to hear about when you are watching the promising advertisements on television. If you'll take the time to search the web for the problems that have arisen after tooth whitening, then you are going to find some nasty stuff!
The problem with teeth whitening is that almost all treatments make use of a hydrogen peroxide based gel. The hydrogen peroxide chemical is very aggressive and it has oxidizing properties. For this reason, it is extremely effecient at removing stains from your tooth enamel. Because that's where all the stains have piled up... in your tooth enamel. But hydrogen peroxide is really a double edged sword. Not only does it break down the stains in your teeth, it also damages your enamel. Since teeth whitening kits at home come with hydrogen peroxide based gels, I'm sure you can imagine that there have been people who used it the wrong way. Those people have damaged their enamel beyond repair and are now stuck with permanently more sensitive teeth.
Then there are some mild side effects that can arise after teeth whitening. These are mostly caused by accidentally swallowing some of the hydrogen peroxide. This is bound to happen, because it needs to remain inside of your mouth for quite some time. If you swallow some of it, then you can develop headaches, nausea and irritation of the soft tissues in your mouth. These side effects are uncomfortable, but they are only temporary as well.

Yes, the side effects can be very dangerous. I would rather try to find something more natural. Although baking soda does a good job.
