Fastest Way To Lose Weight

The fastest way to lose weight, is to stick to a diet & exercise plan that will ensure that you expend more calories than you take in.

It works the same for everybody. Mechanically speaking, our bodies are machines that take in energy and use it up to perform the tasks that keep us alive and kicking.

When there is too much energy, our bodies choose to store this as reserve energy in the form of body fat.

By taking in less energy than your body needs, you will start to lose weight.

But this is only the beginning of the story!

There's a right way of doing it. And then there's thousands of wrong ways of doing it.

Please, save yourself some of the pain I've needlessly put myself through during one of my many unsuccessful weight loss attempts.

After years of learning and doing, I have cracked the code of effective weight loss.

Let me share my experiences and wisdom with you.

Fast Weight Loss

One thing you must understand, is that if you fail to educate yourself on this issue, your results will not come anywhere near what they could have been.

You don't want to spend the rest of your life asking yourself what could have been, do you?

I should've started reading up on proper nutrition and the best weight loss exercises when I started my adventures in fatloss land.

I haven't done that and, in doing so, wasted lots of time!

I would prefer it if other people could learn from my mistakes, thereby saving themselves valuable time and energy.

Best Weight Loss Diets

Start off the right way... and get yourself on a healthy weight loss diet!

The best weight loss diets are the ones that have around 40% carbohydrates, 50% proteins and 10% fatty acids.

There are bad carbs, proteins and fats and there are good carbs, proteins and fats.

Obviously, you will need the good ones!

You can start by learning from which foods you can get these. I'll give you a few examples.

  • Good carbohydrates: whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruits.
  • Good proteins: cottage cheese, lean meat, chicken, tuna, turkey.
  • Good fatty acids: fish, omega 3, omega 6, omega 9 supplements.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it gives you a good idea of what's what.

I recommend that you search the web if you want to get more details on what foods contain what nutrients.

But what purpose do those nutrients serve?

1. You need good carbohydrates for energy. Good carbs are usually the complex ones. In this context, 'complex' literally means that the carb molecule is a complex molecule. It takes your body longer to break these down for energy than simple carbs. This is a good thing, because it ensures that a steady amount of energy is delivered over time.

Bad carbs, such as the ones from candy bars, are an overdose of sugar (simple carbs). These are no good. They get broken down and used as energy all at once. There's too much energy and it will be stored in your reserves. This means body fat.

2. You need good proteins for your muscles. Proteins are the building blocks of your body. Without a good supply of proteins, your muscle tissue would dwindle rapidly. You need your muscles to burn your fat! Your muscles are responsible for using up a lot of your energy. They are your friend. During times of calorie shortages, it is essential you hang on to them. This means resistance training and proteins in your diet!

3. As weird as it sounds, you're going to have to eat fats too! I understand that fat is exactly what you're trying to get rid of. But cutting the fats from your diet is going to work against you. Your body needs some fatty acids to function properly. Good fats will give you healthy looking skin, nails and hair. Your brain needs fats too. You can even become depressed if you cut fats from your diet entirely. Try and stay motivated when you're depressed!

Weight Loss Motivation

In order to stay motivated to lose weight, you'd best get everything right from the start.

By learning from other people's mistakes, you will avoid a lot of wasted time and energy.

It might even make the difference between giving up and not giving up.

I recommend that you never give up.

Don't allow yourself to get down the moment you're not getting as much results as in the previous weeks.

Don't beat yourself up if you 'sin' every once in a while by eating something yummy that is actually 'forbidden'.

Instead, keep imagining what you want to look like. Keep thinking about what you want to achieve.

My experience is that if you want a trim body bad enough, you will be able to work at it for years and years if necessary.

I know I did.

And even though there have been times of frustration with failed weight loss attempts, I no longer care for that.

I persevered and came out victorious in the end.

That is all that matters.

If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

So go out and do your future self a favor already!
